Services

How we approach recovery.

Four structured services built around one outcome: understanding what caused your traffic loss and building a path back.

01

Penalty Diagnosis

The diagnosis is the foundation of everything we do. Before any remediation work begins, we need to understand precisely what happened and why. This is a research-intensive phase.

We start by mapping your Google Search Console data against the public record of named algorithm updates. Traffic drops do not happen in isolation. They happen in relation to specific algorithmic changes, and the nature of those changes tells us a great deal about what to look for.

From there we conduct a content quality audit, reviewing pages by category and topic area. We assess expertise signals, authorship context, content depth, and how well individual pages satisfy the likely search intent of their target queries. We also examine your backlink profile for patterns that may trigger spam policy concerns.

What the diagnosis covers:

  • Traffic timeline mapped to named update dates
  • Page-level performance segmentation
  • Content quality signal assessment
  • Backlink profile review for spam risk
  • Technical health check for crawlability and indexation issues
  • Written diagnosis report with hypothesis and evidence
02

Remediation Roadmap

The roadmap translates diagnostic findings into a prioritized action plan. Every recommendation connects directly to an evidence point from the diagnosis phase. Nothing is generic.

We organize actions by category (content, technical, structural) and by priority level. Not everything can be done at once, and not everything matters equally. The roadmap helps your team understand what to work on first, what to defer, and what can be deprioritized without significant risk.

The document is written to be understood by your editorial team, your developers, and your leadership. We avoid jargon where plain language works better.

Roadmap deliverables:

  • Prioritized action list organized by impact and effort
  • Content revision guidance per affected page category
  • Technical fix specifications for development team
  • Sequencing recommendations tied to update cycle timing
  • Success metrics to track during implementation
03

Implementation Guidance

This is where most recovery efforts stall. The roadmap exists. The team starts working. But decisions come up that the document did not anticipate. Edge cases emerge. Someone wonders whether a particular page should be revised or removed entirely.

We stay engaged during implementation to answer those questions. We review content revisions before publication, advise on technical implementation specifics, and flag situations where a proposed change might counteract recovery progress.

The cadence is flexible. Some teams need weekly check-ins. Others need us available for specific review requests. We adapt to how your team works.

04

Recovery Monitoring

Algorithm updates run on Google's schedule, not ours. Recovery signals typically appear during subsequent broad core update refreshes. Between those moments, we monitor ranking data for early indicators of positive movement and watch for signs that additional issues may be surfacing.

If a subsequent update causes further decline rather than improvement, we analyze why and adjust the strategy. Recovery is rarely linear. The ability to read intermediate signals and adapt is what distinguishes a managed recovery from an unguided one.

Monitoring continues until recovery is established and stable across at least two update cycles.

Monitoring includes:

  • Weekly ranking trend reports
  • Update cycle impact analysis
  • Search Console coverage and performance review
  • Strategy adjustment recommendations based on new signals
Who We Work With

Recovery looks different for different sites.

Editorial Publishers

News sites and content publishers where helpful content signals have heavily affected traffic. Content strategy and editorial quality improvements form the core of recovery.

E-commerce Sites

Retail sites where thin product descriptions, duplicate content patterns, or scaled page creation have triggered algorithmic quality concerns.

Service Businesses

Professional service sites where thin local landing pages or low-differentiation content has reduced search visibility over multiple update cycles.

Affiliate and Review Sites

Sites impacted by product review updates or site reputation policies, requiring substantive editorial changes to demonstrate original analysis and firsthand expertise.

Engagement structure is flexible.

Some clients need the full four-phase engagement. Others arrive with a good sense of the problem and need help executing. We scope each engagement based on what the situation actually calls for.

A conversation with us typically clarifies quickly which phases apply to your specific situation.
